Our approach is very simple -- instead of constantly acquiring additional servers, which would prevent us from quickly rolling out software updates and security patches, we simply upgrade and expand a very small server farm of custom-configured servers as our needs grow. You can rest assured that when hosted on a machine which is part of our Hosting Advantage program, your site will never be slowed down by other sites on the same machine, or by any one site taking up too much bandwidth -- all of those factors are strictly monitored and maintained using the same suite of proprietary software you'll use to manage your account through our control panel.

The memory and disk space capacities of our servers are automatically monitored around the clock, and expanded as the need arises. The same automatic monitoring also keeps a constant watch on all processes running on the system to assure that no single site can pull the entire server down.
The configuration of our primary server (socrates) is as follows:

Operating System: Red Hat Linux 6.x with latest stable kernel release.
Processor: Intel Pentium III 1000Mhz (minimum)
Memory: 512MB ECC-SDRAM (minimum)
Hard Drive 1: 40GB EIDE
Hard Drive 2: 40GB EIDE

We use only name brand components such as IBM hard drives, Intel Pentium III processors, ECC SDRAM and more. All new Wiz WebHost shared hosting servers have at least 512MB of RAM. We never sacrifice quality on our hardware, even if it means sacrificing profit.
Since we went online, the Hosting Advantage program has allowed us to maintain about 99.998% uptime.
